(I’m going to try to put the newer clips at the top of the page)
April 30, 2021, 9:00 p.m. – a possum pokes around.
April 28, 2021, 2:17 p.m. – a hawk takes a bath, keeping a wary eye.
April 23, 2021, 7:43 p.m. – a mother deer and her fauns by the creek.
April 17, 2021, 10:42 p.m. – a skunk wanders through.
April 10, 2021 at a little before 9:00 in the morning. A fox strolls by. Maybe that’s a coyote…
March 29, 2021 10:00 in the morning – 2 young deer relax by the creek.
January 20, 4:50 in the afternoon. A couple of clips, one right after the other of a bobcat, probably a young one, coming to the pond to get a drink of water. Notice the bright spots on the ears, as the infrared camera picks up something bright.
Then the camera starts the next clip right as the bobcat is leaving after getting a drink of water. The lighting must be just on the edge of what the camera can do in color, but the camera switched to the color camera for this clip.
January 19, 11:44 in the morning. An somewhat older raccoon slowly heading downstream.
January 19, just before 1:00 in the afternoon. Someone has commented about how many robins there are around here. How many robins do you count in this clip?
January 18, 9:33 in the morning. The light is at an angle that hits the lens of the camera. Through the bouncing shafts of light you can see 3 squirrels chasing.
January 17 2:30 in the afternoon. Skully is down-in-back, probably chasing squirrels. His tail runs toward the camera, then he changes direction and bounds across the pond and up the hill – squirrel!! But keep watching, near the end of the clip he comes back down for a second or two before the camera stops recording.
January 15, 7:15 in the evening. An opossum waddling away up the bank. I didn’t think it could be a raccoon because there are no rings on the tail.
January 15, a bit after 9 o’clock in the morning. Looks like a younger raccoon also heading downstream. I wish the camera would start recording sooner.
January 15, 2:30 in the morning. A raccoon heading downstream. I think it was a windy night and that is dust/dirt blowing in the air. I’ve tried to shorten this video to just the first few seconds where the raccoon is visible.
2020-10-22 – Older video (catching up on previous captures). Here’s a young fox exploring the porch by the bedroom.
2020-10-28 – a young raccoon shows up on the porch..
2020-11-06 and then a fox again (same fox? maybe?) A couple of clips, that look like they start out the same.
2020-11-14 – is this the same raccoon?
2021-01-07 – a bobcat at the pond down-in-back. Just walking along.
And then later that same night, a raccoon heading down the stream. It’s only a second or two at the beginning of the clip – watch closely!
A wildlife trail camera is installed on a tree overlooking a pond in a small stream. Maybe something interesting will come pay a visit and we’ll see!
A bobcat was captured on Dec 30, 2020 at 3:17 in the morning. Poking around the chicken pen. Yikes! Glad I’ve rebuilt the pen to make the chicken wire more secure.
This trail camera is the same one that is now down at the creek. So, there is no longer a camera watching the chicken pen.
